I have taught for Utah State University for five years- Business Calculus and College Algebra as an Undergraduate. During that time I also tutored students from a wide variety of subject levels- kindergarten up to discrete mathematics. I also have a minor in Biology and taught Bioethics as an Undergraduate. I can help with study efforts for AP Biology or entry level Biology courses mostly. I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old and have took lessons for over 12 years as well as music lessons for many other instruments including percussion, violin, and voice. My experience with helping others in math has been very enjoyable. Having worked at a university learning center as a tutor, I have helped students in all levels of math courses. My studies during college focused on specifically math where I have completed my bachelor's degree of science with a major in math. Having experienced a wide variety of math courses, I have found many approaches of ways to learn math material. These methods were applied when helping others to learn quickly.

As I finished up my studies, started tutoring for lower level math majors. This included Calculus I,II,III, and statistics. As I moved on through classes, I began teaching more abstract classes in Mathematical theory. This experience has helped me able to explain a complex topic in simple terms.
I usually spend the first session finding a child's weaknesses in the subject. After this, I will prepare a list of problems for the child to work on under my supervision. As he works I will let him make his mistakes and then help him correct them. This, in my opinion, is the greatest way to learn math. Practice makes perfect.
