I am graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Tennessee Technological University of Cookeville, TN. I transferred from a 2 year community college in Harriman, TN known as Roane State Community College. Before starting college, I graduated from Rockwood High School in Rockwood, TN, where I never made lower than a B or a high C in some of my harder classes. A Little Bit About Me...

I tutored before but of course I wasn't paid for it because it was at my old elementary school. I helped children from ages 8-13 which I was only 11 or 12 at the time. I maybe young to tutor children and maybe I should wait until I'm 18 but, I love helping children with their homework and watch them accomplish the subject.

A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from MTSU, I went to Prague, Czech Republic to train and work as a teacher of English as a foreign language. I secured a position at Bell School International. Here I taught mostly adult students but I also had a few high school classes. I found it was more satisfying teaching the younger students and so I looked for work at the elementary level. At Horackova Elementary, I taught 6th to 9th grade English. I had a great rapport with all the students and enjoyed planning for the array of levels and age groups. However, I was the only teacher there who spoke English and felt alienated from the school. As a result, I made the difficult decision to return to the United States.

I am a graduate from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors degree in English; in which, has enabled me an understanding in subject of English and writing. Upon receiving my degree, I began working for Smith County Middle School as an In School Suspension teacher. I am currently finishing my second year at this position. My responsibilities are to tutor and teach various degrees of students with various subject disciples while in school suspension. While still in high school and also during my college years, I was always helping others excel in education. Offering study sessions to elementary and junior high students helped me understand what brings out the best in each child. To earn my degree in Business Administration I had to constantly practice math and English. Taking computer classes in college and on the job training gives me first hand knowledge of computers. Making above average grades in science and social studies in school allowed me to help tutor other students while still in school.
