My teaching style depends on the student. I am comfortable with trying different study methods in order to figure out why my student is having trouble with a particular subject. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. After graduating with my BS in chemistry, I went into industry and worked as an analytical chemist. After a short time in industry, I returned to school to pursue my MS in Chemistry at the University of Hawaii. At the University of Hawaii, I had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for four years and tutor undergraduate students in all aspects of chemistry. After 12 successful years as a pharmaceutical chemist, I began taking classes at Pace University and recently I have finished my requirements for graduation in August when I expect to receive my NYS Initial Certification in Chemistry 7-12.
