Love to Teach

I began teaching Art to middle school students within the public school system in 1989. I began working with elementary grades in 1991. I began to pursue a master's degree in Education in 2007 through the University of Phoenix (UoP). The online experience and consistent communication with my instructors and classmates were invaluable. While serving in the Army, I was assigned to translate and interpret from Spanish to English for foreign students joining the Army. I translated speeches for VIP Commanders visits so that way they would understand the speech as well on every event. I tutor kids in the neighborhood in a variety of subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I first started to study music when I was 11 years old. I grew a love for the clarinet and played for many years in middle school and high school. In college, I majored in clarinet and also studied all wind/percussion instruments as well as piano. I obtained my BA instrumental teaching degree (K-12) through Western Carolina University in June of 2003. A Little Bit About Me...

At the moment, my experience is admittedly limited. I graduated with a History degree from UGA. I was a substitute teacher at Savannah Country Day School during the entire 2006-2007 school year. Since then I have enjoyed a career in sales, which I have enjoyed immensely. Both of my parents are teachers, and I hope to find a full time position for the 11-12 school year.
