When I taught sailing to young kids, I used to dress up like a pirate. I have lots of energy. I know I'm doing my job right when kids start laughing. When I taught to teenagers, I kept in mind my own experiences at that age. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught school for four (4) years to ages kindergarten - seventh grade. I also tutored inner city children ages 5-12 for two (2) years. For the last eight (8) years I have been tutoring ages kindergarten- third grade. I took courses in psychology and children. I have a J.D. Degree, Masters Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree. I studied foreign language and assited with children in math, reading, art, hebrew, bible study and reading. I am proficient in German and French.
I enjoy teaching children, students of all ages and those willing to learn. As a high school student, I was involved in inner city teaching and I helped hartford students in their studies after their school. Teaching and working with children has been a love of mine for quite some time now. I feel all student's have the ability to learn but at a pace and level that is comfortable to them. My teaching style reflects my experience working with developmentally delayed students such as those on the Autism Spectrum. I provide a technique which is based on visual learning because I feel when material is drawn out or color coded, children will better grasp it and hold on to it longer. Children love pictures, stories, and colors and what better way to learn then having a little fun too.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2005 I went on to work as a Special Education aid at the middle school level.
