My comments on tutoring Grammar : Very experienced with proper grammar and sentence construction, as well as verbs, verb tenses, adverbs, adjectives, and their proper use.

I have taught classes on aviation related subjects for my Civil Air Patrol. I was homeschooled all the way to the college level, and I remember a lot of subjects in great detail. I have not taught classes at a high school or college. Generally speaking, I have a vast area of knowledge and I know I can help you with your learning needs!
I will ask the student how they learn a subject the best, and help them with their problem by reinforcing basic concepts and then adding on to those concepts. Also, I am a motivator; I will help the student understand that the subject is learnable and maybe even enjoyable to learn!

I try to take a hands-on approach to teaching when possible. I find it helpful to use varied and often unusual objects and materials when teaching a lesson; it tends to make the material more memorable. However I am not above using the standard pencil/paper/textbook approach when needed.
I consider myself to be a "beginner" teacher as I have recently graduated college and received my license. I have spent roughly 500 hours in the field as a result of college course requirements, and I have successfully completed a 12 week internship (student teaching) experience. A Little Bit About Me...

While attaining my genetics degree at Ohio State, I worked at the OSU Chimpanzee Center. After graduating, I started working for the Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measures division. It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. I quickly found a job teaching adults within our county's GED program. I easily became the math and science "guru" with my background and began getting my Masters in Education from Muskingum University. In the year of 2004, I began substitute teaching for public schools such as North Fork, Licking Valley, Heath and Granville. In the year of 2008, I began going to the country of India to teach English to students who were nationals as well as from the countries of Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Some of these students were already fluent while others could not speak any English. Within three months, they were able to read, write and speak English. I also had the opportunity to teach in a public school while I was there. In each classroom there were anywhere from eighty to one hundred children.
