My teaching style is to try make a confusing or intimidating subject matter such calculus or physics more understandable and approachable. I do this by breaking down the confusing topic into smaller and simpler sub-topics and showing how these sub-topics build into the final subject they are trying to comprehend. I am very patient and easy going. My goal is to provide a constructive and enthusiastic approach to a difficult subject.

I feel the need for tutoring is the need to simply obtain information in a form that is different from the one presented in the classroom. As a tutor, I work to break things down into their constituent pieces and explain each of these pieces in turn. This is a more time-intensive method of instruction, of course, as the breaking down of information is totally dependent on the way it must be done for it to make sense to the student. Tutoring allows this method to be used, as one-on-one, this method is just as quick as the standard schoolroom methods.

I attended Lincoln Park High for 4 years,then attended Lawrence Institute of technology in Southfield, Mi for 4 years, having been on the honor roll for 3 straight years, finally attaining a 3.42 G.P.A., 3.75 in math, and given a B.S. in Math with a minor in chem and physics in 1973. I went on to the University of Mich.taking grad courses, finally after one year receiving three offers for grad assistantships at M.S.U., Purdue, and Wayne State. There I earned enough credits to fill the requirements for a math major and four minors including organic, physical, and analytical chemistry and communications. It’ schedule had a 10 hours math study in school and requirements for other 10 hours of home work every week for four years. Within this program I studied algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus all levels. I continued improving my math in college by studying advanced algebra, geometry and calculus.
