My education experience spans many areas. I have taught in middle and high school classrooms, have tutored for public school programs, tutored at after school learning centers, tutored in church programs, and managed a learning center as the human resources, business, sales, and education director in charge of all students programs from initial testing to post testing. My great pleasure in life is education and I have worked with students from pre-K through college age. My recently tutored subjects are science (biology and chemistry), math (through algebra 2 and geometry), study skills, SAT (and other test) Prep, reading and writing. The greatest reward one can achieve is to see the smile on someones face when they have found success in understanding something they felt impossible. I feel that there is no single method to learning, instead it is each individuals character that defines their own learning methods. I like to seek out what drives an individual to help them find their own passion about learning. With everything I do in life I go 150% and never give up. I am seeking my teaching certificate and will receive it by the end of the next semester if not before. My strong suit has always been reading, spelling and phonics and was NC state spelling bee champion. Motivational, easy going, encouraging , never critical.
