I enjoy working with students of all ages and am comfortable with elementary through post-graduate learners. A Little Bit About Me...

I typically employ the Socratic method: asking questions to discover what the student knows (or thinks he knows) and guiding his thinking toward discovering the knowledge himself. Both my three children and my Scouts have declared that they enjoy my teaching because it engages their interest and because it is frequently humorous (when the subject and the occasions permits). I really enjoy the company and conversation of young adults and find I often learn from them as they are learning from me. I also believe that the brain is like a muscle: the more it is exercised the stronger it gets.

My teaching style is to do whatever works, and to get it done. I pride myself on working with my students on their level and being able to understand their personal barrier to grasping the material.
