I am studying Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Cincinnati. I will graduate in May 2015. I have taken and excelled at Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Cell Structure and Function, Genetics, Biology, Ecology/Evolution. I have also taken math through Applied Calculus I. I was awarded University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College's Biology Student of the Year in 2013. I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and also the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

My compassionate teaching style will be tailored specifically to the student at the level he or she is at. It is essential to make this experience fun, challenging, rewarding and a feeling of accomplishment. A child’s musical development may require a bit more attention span, overcoming the frustration of failures of early technique abilities, mood swings and other areas. My teaching style revolves around the idea of mastering important aspects of a subject area before moving to a more difficult subject area. In our current education system, students are allowed to move to more difficult courses without having the necessary building blocks. Through one-on-one tutoring, it is possible to take a couple steps back, assess a student's current capabilities and tailor lessons to the individual student (i.e. one student may need to back track and practice fractions before moving on to more difficult algebra). As an English major, I spent all 4 years at my private instutition tutoring my fellow students, not only in English and writing courses, but in all academic classes in which I had received a grade of "A" or "B". 3 of my 4 years at Lindsey Wilson were spent in the Education department, as I originally wanted to be a high school English teacher.
