As a graduate and substituting, I am driven to become a proud member of the Masters program in Education. I have extensive experience on school improvement committees and after-school activities/programs. I have years of experience teaching grades K-12. Having taught in several community colleges, from 1981 to 2000, I have interacted with the young, middle aged, and elderly, having taught and learned from the single, the married, the multi-marrieds, of varied backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities, of different race, pigmentation, nationality, gender, creed, and religion. I consider myself as both teacher and student. I have come to realize that in life, each of us, no matter how highly educated, will ever remain an undergraduate in the university of life.I look at teaching as an opportunity for me to become even more proficient and knowledgeable in my field of expertise even as I teach my students to live up to their potential in my classroom.
