A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught Genetics at University of Nebraska Omaha and been a lab instructor for general biology and Microbiology during my PhD program at UNL. Currently I am a Post Doctoral Research Assistant/Lab Manager at UNL and I am co-mentoring 6 graduate students and 2 undergraduate students. In the past I have tutored many students in subjects ranging from Algebra to Biology to Graduate Level Cell Biology Classes.
My teaching style focuses on making sure students understand the bigger picture and not just memorizing a few facts. I work hard to make problems and tests less intimating and ease students stress levels when working with them. I find a confidence to be a big key to academic success when it some to math and science.

Dear Student, Hi. I am a math & statistics tutor and have been tutoring these two and other subjects for last 20 years. I did masters in Math from Lucknow University India in 1983 and then again another Masters from Canada ( University of Western Ontario ) in Statistics 1n 1989. I had physics, chemistry as minor subjects during undergrad. I have always been an A+ student and also was recommended for Gold Medal in Canada when I was doing Masters. Multiple Strategies Used to Manifest Understanding

I am a kinesthetic, visual learner and that is how I like to teach. I was not one of those students who could hear a concept once and apply the it the next second with total understanding. I needed to draw situations out, picture guides, analogies, and other strategies that made it possible for my mind to grasp and understand. In response to growing up with the continuous difficulty of facing teachers who were not fans of nonlinguistic learning, I found a passion in tutoring and teaching in a way that allows students to have multiple opportunities to understand.

I am a recent graduate from a liberal arts college which has allowed me the opportunity to be immersed in a variety of subjects. I graduated with a BA in Honors Mathematics and a BA in Physics and am going to continue my education to pursue a PhD in Computational and Systems Biology. After graduating I entered medical school where I have pursued research interests in pediatric infectious diseases, and middle ear dysfunction.
