I have a Master of Accounting degree from Virginia Tech, where I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I taught Accounting, Finance and Business Math for two years at the undergraduate level after graduation. I am currently Controller for a medium-sized construction company, and use all aspects of accounting and finance in my daily work life. I focus on using examples from real business to explain problems and assignments in a clear, straightforward and step-by-step manner. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students and have been complimented many times by former students for my ability to explain complicated concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand.
