As a middle school teacher, I have found that one of the main reasons students struggle is that they have reading deficits. This prompted me to pursue a Master’s degree in Literacy. I have a love for children and for learning. I believe in being patient and encouraging children to learn. I had a son with some special needs. I had to help him with his math throughout most of his junior high and high school years. From time to time, other students in my neighborhood have asked for assistance with their school studies. Assisting them when needed is something I have done several times over the years.
I am a kid at heart. I understand and relate to children of all ages. I believe that if you are patient with those that are trying to learn, and can find things that they relate to, teaching becomes easier for everyone involved. A Little Bit About Me...

I love interacting with children and teaching them to the best of my ability. I know that each child is unique and you have to truly understand the child and the stresses and concerns they have with learning, before you can teach them. I am very patient, kind,and understanding. I want the child to know that he or she is capable of learning anything and will allow them to reach that potential.
