Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. I like teaching one-on-one but I do have classroom experience from substitute teaching. I teach by example and encourage the student to ask as many questions as possible. I typically will not go to another topic until the current one is understood. In terms of teaching math, my style incorporates less use of a calculator and more "thinking". For example, instead of just saying "memorize that anything to the zero power equals 1", I will teach the student WHY that is through examples.
