I feel that my patience, attentiveness, and ability to relate to specific students help me with my style of tutoring. My patience helps me to be persistent even if a student is unable to grasp a concept immediately after explaining it to them. I understand that many students learn in many different ways. In order to overcome this factor one has to be patient and understand how to make a student want to learn. In order to understand a student it's necessary to pay close attention to what helps them learn and what doesn't. The only way to do this is to listen well and instead of thinking about you're going to say next, listen first to what the student has to say.
