My comments on tutoring Special Education : I've taught Special Education for 6 years. K to 5th grade.

I've taught Special Education for 6 years (K-5th grade). Prior to working in public schools, I worked as a cognitive skills trainer. This meant that I helped individuals improve their reasoning/logic skills, memory skills, and attention skills. Cognitive skills are what make you a sharp (or dull) person.

I have taught for 5 years. I have taught grades 6-8. I have taught Social Studies, English, and Literature. I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I also have a Master’s degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. I have taught a wide range of students, from very diverse backgrounds. I have taught struggling readers, as well as honor’s classes. I have taught African Americans, Hispanics, Caucasians, and several other ethnic groups. I am able to be successful with girls and boys, preteens and teens.
I have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of children. I believe that every child can learn when given the opportunity.
