Using varied instructional strategies is a technique I have practiced when working with students who are struggling with a particular concept or subject matter. The key to learning is to be engaged in and excited about the learning process. If a student is struggling with a particular subject, establishing a connection to that subject is essential. I have always been an overacheiver in school. I believe in education and I am constantly trying to learn something. My tutoring experience has been limited to tutoring Spanish. I am also very well read and have extensive experience in the business world.
I think that a good educator is the key to success in a child's life. I can still remember my second grade teacher (Ms. Golf), she made learning fun and seemed like everyday was an adventure in her class. Sadly, not all teachers are like that. I do believe that all children learn in different ways. I think that if a child is given a chance and shown some patience, there isn't anything they can't acheive. Children should be guided in learning. They have short attention spans and I think learning should be made fun in order to hold their attention. A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient, considerate, and able to adapt to each child's way of learning to be able to help them understand what it is that they are trying to learn. I enjoy watching children learn and build on their learning each day. I also get a great sense of accomplishment when I see the child grasping the concepts they have been trying to overcome.
I have seven (7) years of musical experience in concert band, jazz band, marching band, orchestra, and pep band. I also have tutored through the Boys and Girls Club along with a program my college inacted for students who were hearing-impaired, mostly in the areas of math and grammar.
