My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and am experienced as a K-5 special education teacher in all areas of language arts and math. I work with students with other health impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and specific learning disabilities including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. I am certified by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators as an Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator. Orton-Gillingham is a multisensory literacy approach that includes explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, reading, spelling, and writing.

Building meaningful relationships with my students is my top priority. This helps me to personalize the learning experience. I take a multisensory approach to teaching.
