I attended several schools to achieve my undergraduate degrees, both of which I worked hard to excel at the University level. Attending graduate school at Binghamton University truly prepared me for academia, requiring many research papers and essays as well as honing my knowledge in psychology, the arts, human development, english, and biology. I have tutored, un-officially, all during my college years, forming study groups to better help my peers, as well as having volunteer positions tutoring in math and english.
I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Then I applied to be a note-taker and tutor at community a local college, then I was a teaching assistant at Binghamton University for Biology. After graduation I persued a career in Microbology, where I work teaching medical students and future doctors about microbiology. I was also asked to teach as an adjunt professor at BU. That was my first experience with tutoring and I loved it. I liked being able to give individual attention to a student after he or she had spent all day in the classroom.
