I believe learning should be a lifelong endeavor and fun. If it is considered a chore, the best results are not often achieved. Involving all the senses in a Montessori-style approach reaches more parts of the brain, and increases the desire to learn more. I earned my Engineering Degree in 1998 and have worked my entire career in that field. I recently graduated college with a BA in Human Biology, and I am currently in the transition between undergraduate school and medical school. Throughout my years as an undergrad, I have been heavily involved with teaching/tutoring students - primarily through my participation in the Peer-Led Chemistry Teacher program. As a peer teacher, I developed many skills and abilities which have allowed me to become an effective teacher.
