I am an Adjunct Faculty in Health Sciences and Occupational safety. I have tutored many students of all ages ranging from high school students to adult learners. I have also attended numerous training related to teaching and literacy development. My teaching style varies depending on the age and needs of the student. When I worked with younger children, I often made up a game to help the children learn the material while having fun. Even with older children I tried to make learning interactive and suit their personality. I also varied the amount and type of aid given based on the student’s needs. While I do think learning should be suited to the individual, I do require that the student focus entirely on studying during the tutoring session.
