I am currently working as the Math Specialist at a K-8th school where I provide assistance to students who need extra help or are performing below grade level. I also work with students in 8th grade teaching Algebra to those who have the ability to learn at a faster pace than the class as a whole.
I first determine the student's level in each subject, and tutor accordingly. Since every person learns in a different way, I may try more than one approach until it is clear that the student is gaining an understanding of the subject matter.
