Education has always been extremely important to me. To me there is no greater feeling than finally grasping a difficult concept and I love helping someone else achieve that feeling. I have spent several years as a student and tutor at the university level. I am planning to enter medical school in the Fall of 2012 and as such have developed a strong foundation in the sciences throughout my undergraduate education. Although I majored in Biology, my true passion is Chemistry. I spent 2 years on a religious service mission where I became fluent in Spanish. Teaching position is a great way of showing that one cares for the learner and for the way everyone learns. I tutored various levels of French classes and my priority was not the money. Even now, I would often tutor French classes for free, because of my love for the language and also in order to help other French students exceed in their class. Learning French is more difficult than some people think, and teaching it is difficult as well, but I love doing it. I try to find the best way to relate the given information to the student. Not everyone learns the same way. I will find what makes the most sense to the student and help them understand the given information. Throughout my education, I sometimes just wanted a different approach to the information. I would ask others their opionions and things all of a sudden were clear. That is what I want for my students.
I have been involved in tutoring many of my peers throughout high school and college. I find it very rewarding to help others succeed in their education. Many of my peers just needed a different way to have the information presented to them. They needed to be outside of the classroom. They needed to feel comfortable.
