I love working and teaching children of all ages. Every child has the potential to be A students, but each child may learn in different ways. I am a very patient person who understands that the best way to teach someone anything is to find out how they learn. My goal is to help others be confident about what they do know and to not be afraid to ask questions about what they don't know. If I can't teach someone anything, I will find someone who can. I will attempt to tutor from any angle necessary so that my student has the opportunity to be successul at their struggling subject matter. My love of learning and love of working with students has motivated me to continue my education. I have earned a BA in Mus Ed (k-12) and a MA in Counseling, both school counseling and community agency counseling. I also am a private piano instructor as well as the Minister of Music at my church. I have learned problem solving and communication skills because of my many years of working with students of all levels as well as their parents. I work well with students one on one as well as large groups. I also have experience working with teenagers and adults. I was a HS band director for almost 6 yrs.
