A Little Bit About Me...

I have 2 Years of teaching First Aid/ CPR/ AED at the American Red Cross. I also have 1 quarter of tutoring physics at Washington State Community College. I also instruct Pet CPR/First Aid for the American Red Cross. This is especially fulfilling when watching children learn that there is something they can do to help save their injured or sick pet. Though, it has taken me many years to complete my degree, I believe this proves that persistance and perseverance pays off in the end, and that one is never too old to learn. Teaching and helping others is a passion of mine. I love the feeling I get when I realize I have helped somebody solve a problem. It makes them feel accomplished, and myself as well. When I tutor, I let the student come to me with the problem, and instead of doing it for them, I will break it down into smaller steps they can do. I will use similar examples from a book or problems I make up to show them the basics of the problem. I want to provide students with a good, strong mathematical foundation. Currently working as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Ohio University in the department of electrical engineering and computer science. I have more than three years of MATH teaching experience in academic advancement center of Ohio University Library.
