I have been working as a private tutor from my home or student's home for 3 years. I have tutored elementary through college level students. I am able to teach a variety of subjects, however my forte is English and Composition. I have the honor of being a published author. I am an expert in MLA or APA style writing. I have also tutored in College Algebra, elementary math, Biology, and Reading. I speak conversational French, and am able to teach up to the secondary level.
It is my belief that everyone is able to learn, and what produces that ability is having support. My teaching style varies with the learning style of the student I am working with at any given time. I believe in positive reinforcement with facilitative rather than demeaning corrections. As a college athlete I always have been encouraged to help out the community. Because of my high level of math, I knew that I could really help others learn the material in a fun way.
