I took votech business class in high school for three years. I am advanced in all of the microsoft office applications. I also have taken two years of accounting. I believe in breaking assignments into steps so that a child can experience success and completely understand each part. I also believe in making learning fun and having a very positive attitude.
I have taught special education since August of 1989. I began at Dunn Middle School with a mildly mentally handicapped self-contained class. After three years I taught for one year at Clayton Primary in a multi-handicapped class. I then transferred to Four Oaks Middle School in 1993 where I continue to teach. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. With that, I had to complete many practical hours in the classroom as well as complete volunteer leadership hours outside of the university classroom. I had completed student teaching.
