Math/Statistics/Economics Tutor (high school and college )

I have six years of tutoring college and high schools students in Math and Statistics courses. I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of Statistics of George Mason University for two years (2010-2011) and tutored college Statistics. I have been a tutor of the AVID program at Falls Church High School since 2006 and work with students in Algebra I, II, Geometry, PreCalculus, and AP Statistics.
I do not give you the answers, but I help you figure out the answer for yourselves. First, we read the problem together to make sure that you read the problem carefully and understand what is being asked. Then, we go through understanding definitions, concepts, and formulas that you can use. You do the math/algebra, but I am there with you to help you go over confusing parts of the problem. Russian and Spanish young tutor

Good afternoon! I`m a junior at American University. I am originally from Russia, where I was raised and educated, so I`m a native speaker. For my whole life I was in bilingual Spanish-Russian school where we managed both languages, this is why I can help with Spanish too. While in high school, I was tutoring kids (6-10 years) in Spanish. On the SAT math section, I scored a 700 with the highest score being 800. When I was a freshman high school, I tutored students older than myself in subjects such as Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry. While still in high school, I took College Algebra at Broward College. I got the highest grade in that class -- an A.
My tutoring style is explaining the concept in the simplest possible terms and then practicing a few problems with the student. Then when I see the client has grasped the concept, I move on. I do not believe in rushing the student because I know how frustrating it is when one does not understand something.
