I am a whole brain power teacher. Most of my experience is with exceptional children from a range intelligence. Intelligence is relative, and it is the teacher's job to highlight a student's strengths.
I am preparing to graduate in the spring of 2011 from Mississippi State University with a special education degree. I have studies pedagody and methods for two years with a range of experiences in all types of classrooms. I will be a highly qualified teacher in the spring. I have been in a classroom since I was conceived. My parents are high school science teachers. I have studied a variety of subjects, and I have a deep content understanding of math and science. I am a high school honors graduate with a BA in English and teacher certification in English, Spanish, psychology, and special education. I am national board certified in special education. I have tutored in Memphis, and have also taught learning strategies. I am retired and eager to find part time work.
I have worked with children of many different ages and backgrounds, and have learned something from each and every one of them. My hope is that I have not only provided them with academic instruction and learning experiences that will prove beneficial to them, but that I have also instilled in them a love for learning that will last a lifetime and people skills that will allow them to be conscientious, contributing members of society.
