I believe that students do not learn the same way. My teaching style incorporates all learning styles. When teaching a lesson I believe in using secondary reading sources, technology, video clip and other creative outlets. I believe that you must motivate the student to learn not thrust curriculum at them hoping it will sink in. I have five years of experience working with troubled youth and students with disabilities.
I have been teaching English and History education for three years. I have experience on the 7th, 8th 9th and 10th grade levels. For the last three years my high school English courses have been centered on ACT prep. for the ACT/MME students take their junior year. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of the education program at Bowling Green State University and I have had a variety of experiences with children of all ages and abilities in and out of the classroom. I completed an 8 week field placement at Robinson Elementary in Toledo, OH where I assisted the teacher in a self-contained seventh and eighth grade classroom. I taught lessons in the areas of social studies, math and reading. I completed my student teaching placement at Elmwood Middle School in a 6th grade resource room. I taught several math units in this classroom as well as participated in an inclusion math co-teaching situation. I also taught Language arts in the resource room.
