My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. A Little Bit About Me...

I have enjoyed teaching children since an early age. In high school, I started my own dance studio. I also began piano lessons in my home as well. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Geneva College, I spent time developing my skills with working with children and young adults as a soccer coach. My first experience in the educational field was working as a paraprofessional at a private school for children with autism. I love teaching and working with children of all ages. As an undergraduate, I participated in a Writing Fellowship, which allowed me to meet with students to work on their writing. Through this individualized tutoring style, I developed an appreciation for working one-on-one with students and peers, and began to develop a highly personal, creative style of tutoring. I like to implement a variety of different strategies in order to keep students interested in the material. These strategies include discussions, projects, writing assignments, etc. I also believe that enthusiasm, no matter what the subject, is the key to keeping students interested. If you are boring, they will be bored, so I try to keep my lessons and my classroom lively. I also like to implement differentiated instruction, because I believe what works for one student will not necessarily work for another.
