I have had intensive study at Case Western Reserve, mostly in chemistry (general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and physical chemistry), but I know many other subjects and I am proficient in them. I have good understanding of biology, microbiology, biochemistry and physiology. I'm pretty strong in math as well, going all the way up to calculus. My main goal is to try and make the subject as much fun and easy to understand as possible. I never give away answers and instead try to lead the student toward the answer, giving them the chance to figure it out as we go along. I try to break more complex ideas down into concepts that are easier to understand. I often tell students that Chemistry is not as scary as some people say, it just needs to be explained properly.

When a question is asked, I am not going to simply just tell the student the answer. I would want them to think it out and try and figure it out for themselves. I would however guide them in the right direction and even ask them other questions they may know in order for them to figure out the intial problem. I feel that these types of interactions are a more effective way of learning. Also, writing things down helps tremedously because not only are you thinking it, but you're seeing it and reading it as well. I am a very easy person to get along with, and I am also very encouraging. I enjoy helping others whether it's in an academic environment or not.
