I love teaching students of all ages and I recognize that most students do not get the help they need during the school day, which is why it is important for them to get the help they need outside of class. Each student learns differently and it is important for me to figure out a way that works best for him or her so that I can instill the techniques that will help them throughout their entire educational career. I am 21 years, graduating Alpha Chi in May of 2009 with a bachelors in science. I have great passion for science and have excellent communication skills with students my age and higher. Since my freshman year I have tutored students in math, sociology, biology and environmental science.

I have a bachelor's and a master's degree in Biology. I was a full time college lecturer in Biology and Anatomy&Physiology from 2004 until 2008. This past year I returned to school to obtain an MD. I am currently a medical student and have completed medical school level anatomy, embryology, histology, biochemistry and neuroscience.
Most of my classes have been lecture format, but the majority of my classes also consisted of a weekly lab component. In lab, I worked one-on-one with students and aided their learning in both the lecture material and hands-on laboratory materials.

Teaching is very subjective. Each individual learns according to his/her own style. What I find challenging and rewarding is to find that point where it “clicks”.
