Organic Chemistry is one of my top subjects! I have a PhD. in chemistry with a focus on polymer chemistry, which uses a lot of organic chemistry.

My recent past experience includes tutoring high school and college level students in General Chemistry. In graduate school I was an Organic Chemistry teaching assistant and lab instructor. I helped my high school age step-daughter with her Chemistry, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I homework. I enjoyed teaching students at both the high school and college levels.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently the mother of three children, all of whom I home school. I dedicate a great deal of my time to children and advocating on their behalf. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Kent State University, as well as a B.A. in accounting from Baldwin Wallace College. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate working on my dissertation in curriculum and instruction at Kent State University, while specializing in international/multicultural education. I have taught in both urban and suburban school settings. I am a certified teacher, a state endorsed reading specialist and have worked as a mentor to pre-service student teachers in the field of education.

I graduated with a degree in Physical Science Education, which gives me a strong background in Physical Sciences and in math. I have worked with children and youth of all age levels and nearly every ability. I ran an afterschool program for the Salvation Army, ran a boys home for troubled boys and worked in St. Paul City schools as a substitute teacher and a night teacher at an evening school. I also have worked six summers at a Salvation Army camp. Through these experiences I have worked with both gifted and special needs children and youth.
