I became interested in tutoring and teaching as an undergraduate. I began as a basic chemistry tutor, but quickly worked my way up to a lead tutor position. I then took on the responsibility of being a T.A. in both the chemistry lecture class as well as lab. After graduating college, my career led me on a path of training teachers, developing curriculum for schools and teachers, and finally into the position I am now, as a K-5 Technology Instructor. I'm a very enthusiastic teacher. I believe that a student can only learn what they're interested in learning. For this reason, I find that getting the student to be interested in the subject at hand is crucial. Lessons should be fun and engaging. There are different approaches and applications on any given subject and finding the right one for each student allows for personal tailoring of a lesson.
