I have often thought about becoming a teacher and have been told by friends, families and previous instructors in my own learning I would make a good one but I feel my personality would be better served in a more laid back and less rigid atmosphere. I am very laid back, amiable and have a strong passion for what I've learned and what I do (the whole aspiring writer thing I mentioned earlier).

As A recent graduate from a Liberal Arts School, I found it easy to connect with teaching as my calling. It states that "All beauty is a making one of opposites, and a making one of opposites is what we are going after in ourselves" Thus, I relate the subject matter in hand to students' personal lives. For example, if we are learning Le Chartelier's Princlple, which concerns the response of a chemical reaction to stress, I have my students discuss the types of stress they experience, and their responses. I had an intern for Literacy for adults and they sent me to classes and then they set me with a young girl in 3rd grade and i helped her learn to read and i met up with her every other day till she met her goal which took about a year to do but in the time i learned i loved to help her and make her smile when she did something right even when it wasnt 100% correct she still was learning
They way i teach a student how to learn to read is i give them something i know they can read and then i will give them something else that they might need help with and find out what there goals are and what they want to get out of it and work with them to reach it. I want to be able to see the child do well and have them feel good. I believe they can learn they just need a little extra help and that is what i am there for
