A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate, I graduated in 3 years and will be going back to finish my engineering degree. I have a BS in Electronics Technology which required me to take Cal I,II,II, Applied Statics and Technical Math. I also have experience with Solid Works, C++, Computer Repair/Installation and Electronics. After school I've been tutoring other college students in Math and repairing computers in my spare time.
I just started tutoring but find that I enjoy helping people with Math and helping them understand the concepts. I'm easy to get along with and laid back. I like to let the student start the problem and see where they need help.

My teaching style can best be described as entertaining, insightful, dedicated, flexible and individually-oriented. I feel that for any individual who chooses to learn something new, the biggest key to their success is motivation and their personal interest in what they are looking to learn. I also recognize that many students (especially young learners) are guided to study various lessons/fields by parents/educators and they need to find what they are being guided to study interesting in some way. I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.
I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.
