I am a lover of English - good writing and good grammar never go "out of style." As such, I love to instill a love of reading in those whom I teach. I am a visual learner, but this does not preclude my keen awareness and full acceptance of other modes of learning. I believe in diversity in teaching styles because each student is unique and each has different abilities in various areas. As a substitute in the Woodburn School district I could pick up material quickly and teach in various teaching styles depending on the classroom.
After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language.
