A Little Bit About Me...

I feel that each child needs to feel appreciated and successful. My sessions include, of course, language, music, or speech, but I also work in philosophy, history, and technology. I feel that students of today are not receiving as much well rounded education as they desire, or need, for the future workplace or self-satisfaction. My students not only feel that they are learning a language or how to play and instrument, but that they are acquiring real world skills that will help them succeed in whatever field they choose. I obtained Secondary Teacher Certification in Social Sciences. I taught high school and middle school Spanish for two and half years at public schools, and completed my student teaching at an alternative school for juvenile criminals. I was an at home teacher for my school district when children were out for extended periods due to illness. I have completed additional continuing education in working with gifted and special needs children.
