Due to my background in early childhood, I teach using hands-on manipulative based strategies.
Before I began my professional teaching career, I worked for the Read Across America program helping young learners gain an appreciation for reading. I mentored elementary students who were labeled at risk due to low performance in reading. In 2001, I began teaching pre-k in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A Little Bit About Me...

I like to teach by first explaining the concept, having a book or something the child can keep and study out of, provide practice problems to the student, and last but not least help them with their homework.
I have tutored since my 7th grade year at the public library and have been tutoring ever since. I want to expand my groups and help kids success in school no matter what subject it is.
