I really think that teaching by showing is a good method. Whenever I teach dance I always demonstrate myself so the child can see what it is supposed to look like. If we are learning certain positions such as ballet adjusting the child is appropriate. I started my dance career when I was 2 and I trained at Top Hat Dance Centre in Lewisville and I trained there until my junior year in High School. While I was there I trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and pointe. When I was 6 I was invited to the competition team and I continued to be a part of that until I joined drill team in 2008. Before joining drill team in high school I was a member of the JV cheerleading team at Lewisville HIgh. While on that team I also competed on a competition cheer team. Junior year I joined drill team where I was on the elite hip hop and jazz teams while also making every competition dance. M
