My comments on tutoring TOEFL : Some experience preparing students for their TOEFL.

As a language teacher, I believe in integrated learning. I use strategies to teach all four language skills and culture of the targeted language every lesson. I also think that learning vocabulary is as important as learning listening, speaking, reading and writing. I work with my students on accent reduction as it has lately become a part of the language proficiency test. I customize my lesson courses to meet the needs of every particular student.
I graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester NY, with Master's in Education, majoring in Teaching English to Speakers for who English is not a native language. I have a passion for teaching and the everyday rewards. Because I have worked in bilingual, private schools in a foreign country I have successfully learned to handle diversity. I have learned to appreciate the individuallity of each student and his or her needs in processing, learning and how they interpret the world. I use Bloom's Toxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligence to build my lessons in a differentiated form to reach each student on his or her level. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching one on one more then in a group class setting and I do enjoy teaching individual more then in a group setting. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true)
Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math.
