Sign Language Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in Bellaire, OH

I have been teaching myself American Sign Language for a little over 2 years. I am fluent, and willing to teach anyone who wants to learn. I don't know anyone who is deaf. I became interested in American Sign Language while watching a TV show on ABC Family called Switched At Birth. The show encouraged me to learn, and I hope I can encourage someone else to learn as well. I don't charge much because I don't have a lot of experience with teaching/tutoring, but give me a chance and i will make it worth it. I cannot teach baby sign language only regular sign language. that is my only preference. I use American Sign Language dictionaries and the internet while also showing the student how to use American Sign Language myself.

Learned sign-language hands on from my deaf neighbors.I speak fluent with letters and know most of basic words and actions.Basic nouns and verbs.I learned the full alphabet very fast,so my neighbors taught me how to say words without spelling them out.It was very challenging at first, but now flows like speaking English. I have experience with visually and multi-disabled children, working with autistic and downs syndrome children, and basic sign language skills. I have my BS degree in elementary education from the University of Pittsburgh. I love teaching children and I learn from them as much as they learn from me!
