While attending graduate school I worked as a substitute teacher which allowed me to gain experience working with children of various ages and levels. My teaching style exhibits a very individualized, hands-on approach. Even in a classroom with 20-30 students, I attempt to understand individual learning styles and work with students on an individual basis when possible. As a tutor, my approach is not to use a standard approach to which I expect the student to adhere. I feel it is my responsibility to understand how the student learns and comes to understand. Once I can get a feel for this, I use this individualized approach to make the student feel comfortable and confident that they can accomplish the task they are trying to complete.

I plan to pursue a master's degree in education because I feel the need to help children and young adults know the importance of education. I would love to impact students through learning by stressing the importance of educational learning so that I may make a difference in students' lives.
As a University of Alabama graduate, I was very driven to achieve a high level of excellence in Biological sciences and math.
