My style of teaching was geared to the individuality of each child and his learning abilities. I feel that each child must learn at his own pace and it is my place to deal with this. I think that the teacher must motivate the child to want to learn and to discover the innate ability within each child. It was my job to make learning fun, creative, desirable and ultimately rewarding.

As a special education teacher, I am highly motivated to see all students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom setting. I have earned a bachelor degree in Political Science with a minor in History and a master's degree in both Elementary and Special Education. I am currently finishing my certification in working with English Language Learners and receiving my ESL endorsement. I have plans to return to Middle Tennessee State University in January 2012 to earn my PhD in Math and Science Education.
