In pursuing my accounting degree I found that I have an extraordinary passion for accounting. I worked hard to achieve my BS in Accounting during my four years at Daemen College. I have extensive skills in financial accounting, managerial accounting, and auditing. While I was attending Daemen College, I tutored financial and managerial accounting. The students I had were diverse and of all different majors. I was very driven while I was obtaining my BS in Accounting and I remain driven while I finish my MBA.

I earned my bachelors of science in accounting and was also a member of the accounting society at Geneseo. My experiences with my accounting classes and being a part of many groups in Geneseo helped me use all my accounting skills as well as helping others learn and develop their skills in accounting while volunteering to tutor classmates. A Little Bit About Me...

When working towards my Bachelor's I was able to achieve a dual BS in Accounting and Business Management. After working a few years, I decided to go into teaching. While doing this, I was able to assimilate my real life working experience, into the classroom. I have since obtained a second certification in Special Education. This was after obtaining my Master's in 2007. I believe the combination of these teaching areas, would allow me to help those students, who need different areas of help.
My teaching style is one that allows the students to ask any pertinent question about the subject at hand. Once in a classroom I realized that I was meant to teach. I love working with students who are challenging and those who challenge me. I believe that I can become a better teacher only by continually challenging myself and my students. The key phrase “engaging students” seems less than what is required in the classroom. I want my students to be engaged but I want them to encompass and enjoy what they are doing as well. I love technology and new method topics; I have a very strong math and science background as well as excellent written and verbal presentation skills. I was a hands on learner and often use hands on methods to teach when possible. I have taught every level from kindergarten to college level and feel comfortable doing so.
