Tutor for the summer

I am a speech therapist with 11 years and experience. I have worked with students pre-k through 12th grade, primarily pre-k through 5th grade. I have extensive experience working with students on reading comprehension, answering and asking questions, semantics of language (antonyms, synonyms, multiple meanings of words, attributes, categorization), syntax, grammar, phonics and much more! I have mainly worked with kids with disabilities, including autism, developmental delays, communication delays, speech and language impairment, and Down Syndrome. Since completing my formal degree training I have worked in several capacities in the field of education. I taught inner-city young adults in Washington, D.C. in all GED subjects. I worked as a Guidance Counselor and Education Services Officer for the Army for eight years. In the past two years I have tutored under the auspices of Tacoma Community College in all GED subjects.
