I have worked most of my life to become an elementary teacher. I have known since I was young that teaching young people was what I wanted to do. I earned a BS in elementary education, with a minor in math. Since graduating and becoming a teacher, I have continued my education through in-services, workshops, and professional book clubs. When in undergraduate school for physics I acted as a tutor for portions of my junior and senior years. I tutored students in general physics I & II, as well as calculus I & II. I would work with a particular student on a one on one basis to address specific questions that they might have on the subject matter.
I very much enjoy education and working with children/young adults. Teaching is something that can and should be performed in different ways depending on the student.
