If you need English help, I'm your girl!

I like to work one on one with students, however I'm open to group settings. I'm adaptive to how the student learns and try to work from there.
I'm an English education major currently attending Western Michigan University to earn my degree. Before starting at Western I attended Jackson College, where I excelled in my writing classes and was asked to become a writing fellow. Through this program I worked with students at the college answering questions and helping them with any and all works of writing. I also worked within a Jackson area prison helping inmates with various writing and English related issues. Before I began tutoring I wrote for my local newspaper for two years. First I was a part of a teen issues column, but was asked to continue to write even after the column was over. Writing and English are my passion and I really love helping others to enjoy it as much as I do.

Reading is one of my top subjects! 33 on ACT in 2014.

My experience with tutoring began in high school, when I started assisting elementary students with homework through one of my clubs. Throughout the two years I was involved, I regularly helped 6 students, along with 6 students that I met with irregularly. I worked as a elementary teacher in Romania for about 13 years. I used to work differentiate and with a combination of classes. From the training I received, I learned methodics, how to teach math, science, physical education, arts, and develop other skills. I am patient and know child psychology. Don't want to substitute parents who have a great role in child development, I want to become the help and the friend of the kid, the friend who brings an alternative and new ideas in developing and performance.

My comments on tutoring Reading : Teen librarian

I am used to group formats, but am also comfortable with one-on-one. Examples and discussions are an important part of creative writing, as well as a willingness to share and try new things.
